I believe that therapy is not just about insight or strategy, but about creating a space where people feel safe, heard, and respected – a space where curiosity, connection, and growth can emerge.

My name is Amy and I’m a Clinical Psychologist who brings warmth, curiosity, and authenticity to my work. I value genuine connection and work collaboratively with clients to help them better understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and reconnect with what matters most to them. My approach is thoughtful and grounded, balancing evidence-based practice with compassion and care.

I believe that therapy works best when people feel safe enough to show up exactly as they are, without pressure to have the “right” words or everything figured out. I aim to create a space where clients can slow down and explore their inner world with curiosity rather than judgement.

My way of working is reflective, collaborative, and tailored to each person. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I value getting to know the individual sitting in front of me – their story, their strengths, patterns, relationships, and what matters most to them. While I draw on evidence-based approaches, the heart of my work is relational. I value authenticity, humour, reflection, and thoughtful conversations that help people feel more connected to themselves, their relationships, and the life they want to move towards.

I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, low mood, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and feelings of disconnection from themselves or their valued direction. I have a particular appreciation for working with people who are used to holding a lot for others, and who may struggle to offer themselves the same care and compassion they extend to those around them.

I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Edith Cowan University and a Bachelor of Arts and Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Western Australia. I have experience across Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), private practice, insurer-funded counselling, critical incident response, fitness for work assessments, team leadership, quality assurance and clinical governance, and clinical supervision. I have supported people across a wide range of workplace and personal contexts, often during periods of stress, uncertainty, and change. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy reading, meditation, tennis, spending time in nature, long conversations over tea, listening to music, and being around the people and animals I love. Like many of the people I work with, I understand what it is like to juggle responsibility, move through uncertainty, and search for moments of calm in a busy world.
