Ms Megan Reeves

Clincial Psychologist Registrar

Therapy works best when you feel understood and supported. I aim to create a calm, safe space where change can happen at a manageable pace.

Hello! I’m Megan, a Clinical Psychologist Registrar at Prosper. I work with children, adolescents, and adults across both therapy and assessment. I am particularly drawn to supporting young people, neurodivergent individuals, and those experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, or challenges with confidence and resilience. I enjoy helping people make sense of their emotions and experiences, and supporting them to build skills and confidence over time. My work is strengths-based and person-centred, with a focus on understanding and celebrating individual differences rather than trying to change them.

More about Megan

My approach to therapy is practical, supportive, and tailored to each person. I mainly draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help people understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and to support changes that feel meaningful in everyday life. I also incorporate elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy, allowing me to adapt my approach to suit each individual’s needs, goals, and experiences.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honours) at Murdoch University and my Master of Clinical Psychology at Charles Darwin University.

Outside of sessions, I enjoy reading a mix of psychology books alongside thrillers and romance novels. I love exploring new cafés, trying different iced coffees, spending time relaxing with family and friends, and taking any chance I can to be around animals!
