Convenient, easy to access support when it not easy to get to our office.
Telehealth or Online Psychology Services provide an alternative method for clients to access our services. We recognise that it is not always easy to get to appointments. Telehealth services may help reduce some of the stress of getting the help you need.
Telehealth is suitable for anyone seeking health services.
It may be ideally suited to:
People living in rural and remote areas
FIFO workers
Carers and parents who need to stay at home
Time poor people who just can’t fit it all in
Most health conditions we treat can be supported through online therapy.
How does it work?
Your Telehealth appointment will be conducted just like a face-to-face session – you will be able to see, hear and interact with your clinician ‘virtually’ for the length of the session.
All our online clinicians currently see a mixture of both face-to-face and online clients.
Watch the video below to find out more about how an online appointment works and how you can best prepare yourself for an online appointment.
What do you need to access Telehealth?
A computer, phone or iPad with a stable internet connection is all that is required. It is not recommended you use your phone without WiFi as you may use a lot of data.
We utilise safe and secure online platforms to conduct our online sessions. Your confidentiality is important to us.
It is important that you have a private space for your session. We recommend you treat the appointment as if you were actually in our office.
Can I access rebates?
Yes.
The goverment made Better Access telehealth rebates a permanent item under Medicare in 2022.
So now you have the choice of attending sessions in person or online and still being eligible for a rebate.
Private health may provide rebates. Please contact your provider to determine eligibility.
